Compliance

Ferrotech performs metal recycling as well as heavy torch cutting and breaking while remaining focused on our environmental responsibilities.  We must comply with Pennsylvania's DEP, EPA and OSHA rules and regulations pertaining to manufacturing.  Ferrotech's facility houses a state permitted dust collection system that provides for the indoor burning of metals. This facilitates size reductions that are both needed and sufficient for the recycling process. Our indoor collection systems collects the smoke, dust and vapors that are emitted as part of the scarfing process.

Our unique dust collection system is both approved and endorsed by the Pennsylvania DEP.  The design and installation actually resulted in an Environmental Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
